Offaly County Council’s Arts Office invites applications for the Culture Night Coordinator Award, to coordinate Offaly’s programme in 2024, as part of the national cultural celebration on Friday 20th September 2024.
One award of €4,500 is available.
It is envisaged that the successful applicant will:
Liaise closely with Offaly County Council Arts Office to design, plan, co-ordinate and evaluate Offaly’s Culture Night programme 2024.
Working with the Arts Office, manage and administer the Culture Night Event budget, (separate event budget available)
Act as contact point to all selected Culture Night Event Organisers in Offaly.
Work with long-standing Culture Night Event Organisers and provide support for new Event Organisers in Offaly.
Have cognisance for equality, inclusivity and accessibility at the heart of the ethos of Culture Night, in line with Offaly County Council’s priorities and the Arts Council’s policy and strategy to respect, support and ensure the inclusion of all voices and cultures that make up Ireland today.
Act as point of contact / liaison with the national Culture Night Organisers, including attending webinars, updates etc., to ensure alignment with the national programme.
Ensure Offaly’s programme follows national guidelines on branding etc. and is promoted via uploading of events onto the national website.
Prepare the content for Offaly Culture Night brochure, to include drafting and proofing of programme and working with designer in the delivery of same. (separate budget available for professional graphic designer - Images provided by Culture Night Asset suite)
Provide regular updates to the Arts Office at agreed points across the project delivery.
Prepare and develop marketing materials for the event (separate marketing fund available), including the organisation and attendance of the Offaly Culture Night promotional launch event.
Manage the Culture Night Offaly social media and implement a plan to promote and highlight all events.
Actively seek out new audiences for Culture Night, to develop audiences beyond the event itself and generate return visits.
Distribute surveys to all stakeholders to capture feedback on the events.
Be available to attend events on Culture Night.
Collate images of all events taken by organisers and professional photographers and distribute via social media and press lists post event.
Complete a post-event report for submission to the Arts Council.
Applicants are required to:
Manage their own time effectively, incorporating key milestones agreed with the Arts Office, for delivery of Culture Night, Friday 20th September 2024.
Be flexible and available to work on the project between June and September 2024.
Must be available to work on Culture Night Friday 20th September 2024
Have access to their own transport to travel around the county.
Hold a current driver’s license.
Applicant must hold their own public liability insurance.
Experience of organising and presenting events
Marketing, PR and Communications Experience
Knowledge of Arts/Cultural Sector in Co. Offaly
General and Financial Administrative Experience
Confirmation that you hold a current and valid tax clearance certificate or provide evidence that such a certificate has been applied for.
